'Worst of the worst': ICE arrests violent illegal with 38 arrests, 15 convictions
Hailing from Guatemala, he boasted previous convictions for aggravated assault, sexual assault, burglary, larceny, possession of stolen property, and obstruction of justice.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on Wednesday confirmed the arrest of a violent illegal alien with 38 prior arrests and 15 convictions as part of its efforts to round up the "worst of the worst."
Jonatan Monzon-Olivares made the top of the agency's high-profile arrests this week. Hailing from Guatemala, he boasted previous convictions for aggravated assault, sexual assault, burglary, larceny, possession of stolen property, and obstruction of justice.
“One of the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens arrested by ICE yesterday had 38 prior arrests and 15 convictions, including sexual assault, aggravated assault, and burglary,” Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told Just the News. “Under the Biden Administration, serial criminal illegal aliens were allowed to terrorize Americans. We are restoring law and order and putting the safety of Americans first. No longer is America a safe haven for the world’s criminals.”
The arrest of Monzon-Olivares comes as part of the effort to ramp up deportations following the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which greatly expanded ICE's budget. While total deportations remain somewhat unclear, ICE arrested more than 100,000 illegal aliens by April.
Also among those arrested were:
Pedro Carillo-Miranda of Mexico, who was convicted of a sex offense against a child.
Lloyd Tinasha HweHwe of Zimbabwe, who was convicted of intoxicated manslaughter.
Trong Ho Luong of Vietnam, who was convicted of manufacturing and delivering cocaine and MDMA.
Lamphay Syvongsa of Loas, who was convicted of robbery with an imitation firearm, possession of a firearm following a felony conviction, felonious pointing of a firearm, and an array of traffic offenses.
