A 21-year-old woman allegedly stabbed her date during sex in a Las Vegas based motel to avenge the death of Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani in a 2020 U.S. drone strike, according to the New York Post.

Nika Nikoubin has been charged with attempted murder, battery with a deadly weapon and burglary over the Mar. 5 incident, according to local KLAS-TV.

Nikoubin and her victim met online on Plenty of Fish, a dating site owned by Match Group, and agreed to meet and get a room together at the Sunset Station Hotel and Casino in Henderson, Nevada, near Las Vegas.

As the pair began to have sex, Nikoubin blindfolded the victim and turned off the lights, according to police. Several minutes later, the male victim said he “felt a pain on the side of his neck.”

Nikoubin reportedly stabbed the victim in the neck “for revenge against U.S. troops for the killing of Qasem Solemani in 2020,” according to the police report.

Solemani was an Iranian military officer and commander of the country’s special operations Quds Force. He was killed in a drone strike on Jan. 3, 2020, following the death of an Iranian-American contractor in a missile attack and storming of the U.S. embassy in Baghdad in Dec. 2019.

After being stabbed, the victim pushed Nikoubin off him and ran out of the room to call 911, said police.

Nikoubin found and told a hotel employee that she just stabbed a man shortly after the incident, according to police.

When talking to police, Nikoubin told an investigator “she wanted revenge” and had listened to a song called “Grave Digger,” which “gave her the motivation… to carry out her revenge.” However, she said she only wanted to hurt the man and did not intend to kill him.

Nikoubin is currently being held on $60,000 bail and is due to appear in court on Mar. 24. Authorities say she has no ties to the Las Vegas community.

The victim’s condition is currently not available.
