The View co-host Sunny Hostin compared white suburban women who vote for the GOP to “roaches voting for RAID,” arguing they are voting against their self-interests in regard to abortion.

Sunny made the comments on the Thursday show during a session on major issues facing midterms voters, noted Nicholas Fondacaro of the Media Research Center on Twitter.

"What’s also surprising to me is the abortion issue. I read a poll just yesterday that White Republican suburban women are now going to vote Republican," Hostin said, likely referring to a Wall Street Journal poll that showed suburban women favoring the GOP by 15 points.

"It’s almost like roaches voting for Raid [roach spray], right?"

Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin, the panel’s conservative voice, tried to jump in but Hostin continued.

"They’re voting against their own self-interest. Do they want to live in Gilead?" she said, referring to the setting of “The Handmaid’s Tale.”

Farah Griffin, a communications director under former President Donald Trump, replied, “Do we believe in democracy or not? Because just saying that, it’s insulting to the viewer.”

“People make decision about what’s right for their families. And the idea that you should have a say for everyone else’s vote…” she added.

The pair continued to discuss the issue of abortion, with Farah Griffin point out that Hostin had herself changed her position on abortion.

Hostin got into hot water last month for accusing former UN ambassador of Nikki Haley of not using her real name to hide Indian ancestry. Haley responded that “Nikki” was her middle name and that she had taken her husband’s last name.

Co-hosts Sara Haines and Whoopi Goldberg both piped in that voters in America are motivated by a rang of issues over any single one.

Before the commercial break, co-host Joy Behar said that voting for Republicans is not just voting for a political party but for a “cult.”

The crowed erupted in applause at Behar’s closing remarks.
