Billionaire George Soros sent another $1 million to shore up Georgia Democrat Stacey Abrams, who has been consistently trailing her opponent in polls running up to next month’s midterm elections.

Democracy PAC II, a federal committee set up with $125 million from Soros, sent the donation to One Georgia Inc. on Sept. 30, according to state filings obtained by Fox News.

One Georgia Inc. is a leadership committee chaired by Abrams and used to aid her candidacy. It also shares an address and treasurer with her campaign, according to Fox News.

Abram’s organization had already received $2.5 million from the Soros PAC between March and June. The latest donation brings the group’s support to Abrams up to $3.5 million, making him one of her largest donors.

Soros’ millions do not include money from his relatives. According to the filings, his daughter Andrea Soros Colombel sent $100,000 to One Georgia in August.

Despite raising a reported $8 million over her opponent, Republican Gov. Brian Kemp, Abrams continues to trail in recent polling.

A University of Georgia poll found that the Republican held a 10-point lead over Abrams despite a much closer contest in the state’s Senate race.

Abrams rose to prominence during her 2018 gubernatorial contest against Kemp, where she blamed her loss on illegal and unconstitutional practices that denied the right to vote to Georgia voters. On Sept. 30, a U.S. District Court ruled in favor of the state over Abrams on all counts of alleged voter suppression.

Soros’ relationship with Abrams began in 2016, when a company owned by Abrams received $15,000 in consulting payments from another Georgia PAC funded entirely by the billionaire.
