The so-called "caviar progressives" or "velvet left" with homes on Martha's Vineyard were on the receiving end of meme humor after migrants were sent there by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, and residents declared the situation "an unprecedented humanitarian crisis."
The solution? On Friday morning, the migrants (mostly Venezuelans) boarded buses on a ferry and left the prosperous island in Massachusetts, escorted by National Guard troops bound for a military base on Cape Cod.
The memes came quickly. Here are some of the most "viral" during the tense "human exchange" that to this day has not had an acceptable resolution:

"Martha's Vineyard resident calls police to report a Hispanic in the neighborhood not operating a leaf blower."
In the meme above 'The Office' star John Krasinski is seen looking through a window pleased of "watching Martha's Vineyard get all "enriched by diversity."
And of course, a scene from Games of Throne could not be missed: "When you hand out some cereal and RBG T-shirts before kicking them off their island."
Martha's Vineyard is an island off Cape Cod, Massachusetts, frequented by some of the wealthiest and most powerful people in the United States.
In response to some comments that said busing the migrants to Martha's Vineyard was cruel, users responded with humor saying: "Sending migrants to wealthy communities will give them unrealistic expectations."
