Carmen and Lupita Andrade, 22-year-old conjoined twins, popularly referred to as Siamese twins, are two Mexican influencers, currently residing in Connecticut, United States. While one of them openly identifies as asexual, the other has officially introduced her boyfriend Daniel, whom she met in October 2020 through the dating app Hinge.

The sisters are joined at the torso and share the pelvis, reproductive system, and liver, a condition scientifically known as "parapagus twins," which is an extremely rare occurrence, accounting for less than 0.5% of cases.

"I never tried to hide the fact that I am a conjoined twin, which led to receiving many messages from men with fetishes. I knew from the beginning that Daniel was different because he didn't start with a question about my condition," Carmen shared with TODAY newspaper.

On the other hand, Lupita expressed that despite being asexual, she wants her sister to find happiness in a relationship. "I know that's important to her," she said.

The conjoined twins gained fame on TikTok, where they share their day-to-day life of being together all the time. Carmen is studying to become a veterinary nurse, while Lupita dreams of being a comedy writer.

"If we were to undergo separation surgery, one of us would definitely die. The other would either die as well or end up in the intensive care unit and we would never make it out," they explained to TODAY.

At the age of 20, Carmen met Daniel through Hinge, and although many would think it poses a challenge, the twins describe how fun it is for one of them to be in a romantic relationship.

"Daniel gets along very well with my sister. It's funny because I stay up later than Lupita, but when Daniel stays overnight and I fall asleep first, he stays awake talking to her," Carmen revealed.

Although the trio gets along well, Carmen admits feeling guilty because she sometimes wants to spend a lot of time with Daniel. To address this, they decided that Lupita would choose the places to dine or the activities they would do.

Carmen mentioned that she plans to get engaged to Daniel. "We've been together for two and a half years, and we've talked about getting engaged, but first we want to live together," the young woman shared.

Since Carmen introduced her romantic partner, the twins have had to establish some rules. One of them is refraining from having sexual relations due to sharing the same reproductive system. Additionally, they cannot become pregnant because they both have endometriosis.
