World renowned soccer player Lionel Messi celebrated his 37th birthday in the middle of the Copa América this Monday with fans from his beloved homeland, as he was warmly greeted and honored by his team and millions of fans. Social networks, clubs, friends and former teammates showered the world champion captain with affection.

FIFA and the AFA were among the first to greet the number 10 of Scaloni's team. The National Team did it at 1:00 am sharp (Argentina time, but 12 in the United States, where Leo is concentrated).

The footballer, who was celebrated as a world champion in Qatar 2022, is in New Jersey on Tuesday to play against Chile for the second date of Group A of the Copa América but waiting to meet again with Antonela Roccuzzo and her children Thiago, Ciro and Mateo to “blow out the candles” as a family and receive the most anticipated hugs, the player from Rosario became a trend through digital platforms.

Barcelona FC, where he spent most of his career, wished him a happy birthday and did so with a video of his first goal as a professional and also with a portrait of him.

The UEFA Champions League, a tournament that Messi won four times with Barça (2006, 2009, 2011 and 2015), shared a series of photos and videos of the star on his special day.

Even Guinness World Records was present when greeting Messi with one of his 41 records, including the most Ballon d'Ors, the most goals in a calendar year and the most liked Instagram post, among others.
