Actor and comedian Bob Saget passed away on Sunday at the age of 65 in a Ritz-Carlton hotel room in Orlando, Florida, TMZ reported.

Saget was known for being the host of America's Funniest Home Videos between 1989 and 1997. Although he was part of many other projects, his most important role was playing Danny Tanner in the series Full House.

Many of Saget's Full House co-stars reacted on social media to the news of the actor's sudden death.

The co-star of the hit comedy, John Stamos, expressed his grief on Twitter following the loss of his friend and former colleague.

I am broken. I am gutted. I am in complete and utter shock. I will never ever have another friend like him. I love you so much Bobby.

Candace Cameron Bure, known for playing the role of DJ Tanner in the series, also shared her reaction to the unexpected news.

“I love you sooooo much. I don’t want to say goodbye. 35 years wasn’t long enough,” she posted on Instagram.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who played Michelle Tanner in the series, described Saget as the "most caring, compassionate, and generous man" in a statement obtained by ABC News.

"We are deeply saddened that he is no longer with us, but we know he will continue to be by our side to guide us as gracefully as he always has. We are thinking of his daughters," they said.

Bob Saget's death remains under investigation. The Orange County Sheriff's Office reported that detectives at the scene "found no signs of drug use in this case."

Saget was in Florida as part of his comedy tour. According to his Twitter account, he performed Saturday night in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
