The bodies of two of the six missing Latino workers after the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, Maryland, were reportedly recovered Wednesday from a submerged vehicle in the Patapsco River.

The two men were identified as Alejandro Hernández Fuentes, a 35-year-old Mexican, and Dorlian Castillo Cabrera, a 26-year-old Guatemalan, whose bodies were found around 10:00 a.m. inside a submerged red truck at a depth of 25 feet in the central part of the bridge.

The Coast Guard is still searching for the other four Latino workers from Brawner Builders who also died after falling into the river when a ship struck the bridge on Tuesday.

A total of eight workers were repairing that elevated section of Interstate 695 at the time of the collision. One of them survived without injuries, and another was hospitalized and discharged on Wednesday.

Initially, the six workers who fell into the river had not been identified, but the embassies of Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras reported that some of them belong to those countries.

Honduran Maynor Suazo and Salvadoran Miguel Luna were identified by their relatives as two of the workers who were on duty on the bridge when the accident occurred.

In the early hours of Tuesday, the iconic Francis Scott Key Bridge collapsed after being struck by a cargo ship that lost power and crashed into one of the bridge's pillars, causing the structure to collapse in a matter of seconds.

The collapse of the bridge, which was used by 12 million vehicles last year, has blocked maritime traffic in the port of Baltimore, a vital shipping center on the East Coast.
