Tech mogul Elon Musk tweeted on Sunday that “it’s been nice known ya” if he were to mysteriously die after Russia threatened him for providing his Starlink satellite internet to besieged Ukraine.

Dmitry Rogozin, Director General of Russian space agency Roscosmos, accused Musk of “supplying the fascist forces in Ukraine with military communication equipment.”

He said a captured Ukrainian colonel testified that the Starlink terminals delivered to Ukraine in February were sent to Ukrainian marines and “militants of the Nazi Azov Battalion” by the U.S. military.

“And for this Elon you will be held accountable link an adult – no matter how much you’ll play the fool,” Rogozin warned.

The future owner of Twitter addressed the threat directly by sharing a translation of Rogozin’s remarks with a tweet that read, “The word “Nazi” doesn’t mean what he seems to think it does.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly attempted to tie his invasion of Ukraine to the Soviet Union’s fight against Nazi forces in World War II by suggesting Kyiv’s government is run by neo-Nazis.

“If I die under mysterious circumstances, it's been nice knowin ya,” he added in a follow-up.

Elon’s mother, Maye Musk, did not appreciate the dark joke on Mother’s Day, tweeting “That’s not funny.”

Elon Musk replied that he was sorry and would “do [his] best to stay alive.”

Rogozin has been an staunch supporter of Putin in the propaganda war over Ukraine, sometimes lashing out at opponents of the Kremlin with not-so-subtle threats.

In March, the Roscosmos head openly speculated about the International Space Station falling out of orbit if Russia withdrew support over international sanctions.

“If you block cooperation with us, who will save the ISS from an uncontrolled descent out of orbit and a fall on the United States or Europe?” asked Rogozin on Twitter.

“There is also the option of dropping a 500-ton structure on India and China. Do you want to threaten them with such a prospect? The ISS doesn’t fly over Russia, so all the risks are yours. Gentlemen, when planning sanctions, check those who generate them for illness.”
