Three Houston police officers shot in broad daylight, suspect at large

The Houston Police Department announced Thursday afternoon that three officers were shot.

The suspected shooter fled in a white Mercedes and is still at large, authorities state. The department asks the public to avoid the area where the shooting occurred at the 2100 block of McGowen St.

The conditions of the officers are unclear. They were taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital.
