An Austin-area rancher is enticing Twitter’s new owner Elon Musk to move its headquarters from San Francisco to his area.

Jim Schwertner, president and CEO of Schwertner Farms, runs Capitol Land & Livestock, one of the largest cattle dealers in the U.S. Research conducted by ADN America found the following set of tweets:

“Elon, Move twitter to Schwertner, TX, 38 miles North of Austin and we will give you 100 Acres for FREE,” Schwertner tweeted in late April.

The rancher told Musk he was free to pick any spot on the 20,000 acres he owns across central Texas.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbot also invited Musk to bring Twitter to Texas to join his three other companies. Tesla, SpaceX and the Boring Company are also headquartered in the Lone Star State.

“I will declare it a ‘Free Speech Zone,” Abbot tweeted from his campaign account.

“Maybe we can rename it Twitter, Texas.”

Twitter is currently headquartered in San Francisco, but CEO Parag Agarwal told employees they are welcome to continue working remotely.

Musk has joked about turning the SF HQ into a homeless shelter since “no one shows up anyway.”

Schwertner is a big fan of Musk, touting the economic benefits his companies have brought to Texas.

“Elon Musk is the greatest thing that ever happened to Texas and central Texas,” Schwertner said.

“When he came here from California and brought SpaceX and Tesla, and then The Boring Company, it’s a big boom for Texas and central Texas.”

He believes Musk moving Twitter to his area would be a win-win for both sides.

“We have a lot of land. This area is really growing. We have affordable housing, and I thought it’d be an excellent opportunity for him and for us,” Schwertner said.
