A drive-by shooting killed one person and wounded 13 others, three of them critically, during a "celebration of life" in Baytown, Texas, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

The shooting occurred around 6:40 p.m., during a vigil held by a mother for her son who was killed several weeks ago, ABC 13 reports.

About 50 people attended the vigil. Sgt. Greg Campbell said, "While they were having their celebration of life and releasing balloons in the air, an unknown suspect drove down this road and shot rounds into that group of people."

Victims reportedly include a pastor and his wife.

When the victims arrived at the hospital, authorities say a fight broke out, causing further chaos.

Gonzalez said authorities do not have a suspect at the moment.
