A video that went viral on social media this week showed the moment in which a Latina mother rescued her daughter from being kidnapped by an alleged stalker in a Queens apartment building.

The surveillance camera at the door of the house shows the incident that occurred at 9:00 a.m. on January 23 in an apartment building in the Astoria neighborhood, where Lex, an 18-year-old girl, is trying to enter her house when a man appears behind her.

After the suspect forcibly takes Lex, a dog can be seen barking and the victim's mother, Adriana Alvarez, 35, can be seen running after her daughter.

The battle between the man and both women went across four floors of the building. When they reached the first floor, a neighbor who heard screams ran to help the victims and hit the man, while another witness detained him until the police arrived.

“I've never heard my daughter scream like that,” Alvarez told NBC News.

The alleged kidnapper was later identified as George Vassiliou, 25, Lex's former co-worker.

The suspect faces charges of attempted kidnapping. He is being held with bail set at $50,000, according to police records. He pleaded not guilty to a series of charges stemming from the attack, according to the outlet.

As a result of the confrontation, Álvarez suffered a dislocated shoulder, a fractured eye socket and a broken elbow.

"I had two angels on my side," said the mother. "I'm so grateful to have her back."
