New York City icons fight! Rat takes on pigeon in viral video

A viral video caught two of New York’s iconic city dwellers fighting it out on the Big Apple’s sidewalk.
The gruesome Instagram video caught a rat and a pigeon struggling after the rat ruthlessly attacked the pigeon. The rodents then attempts to drag the pigeon across the sidewalk.
In the video, the pigeon tries to free itself from the rat’s grip by flapping its wings, but the rodent continues to tightly bite the bird.
Eventually, the rat drags the pigeon under a Mini Cooper, where the brawl can no longer be seen, leaving viewers guessing the outcome of the intense battle.
The video was shared by the popular Instagram page “whatisnewyork” on Wednesday, which shared clips of strange sightings in New York City.
“Two New York street heavyweights and icons going at it! Biggest fight NY seen since Ali Frazier,” said one user in the comments.
“Who needs the Discovery Channel when you’re walking the streets of New York!” wrote another one.
“The rats are getting stronger and faster every day, they’re evolving,” said yet another one.
This isn’t the first time that a rat and a pigeon have been caught fighting in the streets of New York. In 2020, another video of an epic showdown between a rat and a pigeon in Brooklyn went viral.
