A Boston Marathon runner was caught on video squatting on someone’s front lawn to relieve themselves during the 26.6-mile race on Monday.

The homeowner’s doorbell camera captured the exact moment when the long-distance runner enters the front lawn through some bushes, drops down their shorts, and squats on the grass.

Moments later, a passerby notices the man and walks toward the man before stopping. They seem to exchange a few words and you can see the man having second thoughts about approaching the runner.

A second person joins the scene right before the runner pulls up his shorts and makes a run for it through the trees at the edge of the yard to rejoin the race.

The video, originally posted on Reddit, was shared with the title “One of the marathon runners just took a s*** in my yard.” While the video has since been removed from Reddit, it can still be accessed on Twitter.

Social media users reacted negatively to the video, expressing their shock and disgust at the runner’s actions.

“This is very unfortunate,” wrote one user. “This runner should know better and there were plenty of port-o-potties on the course.”

“I’m sure the runner was really embarrassed to have to do that. I wouldn’t call her out on it any further,” wrote another.

More than 30,000 runners from over 100 countries joined the annual race on Monday from Hopkinton, Massachusetts to Boston, which marked the tenth anniversary of the Boston Marathon Bombing.

According to the marathon’s website, there are toilets located “at every water and medical station, as well as at additional locations along the course,” anticipating that many runners go five or more hours without a bathroom break.

“Please respect the communities through which the Boston Marathon runs by taking advantage of these facilities if needed,” the site adds.
