Nigel Malt, 44, ran over his daughter Lauren, 19, on Jan. 23 outside their home in King's Lynn, Norfolk, England, where she lived with her mother and younger siblings. The man was separated from his wife and lived at another location, according to reports.

Nigel was found guilty after a unanimous verdict by the jury, comprised of six men and six women.

According to witnesses in the case, Nigel drove to his daughter's residence and argued with her and her partner in the middle of the street. Prosecutor Andrew Jackson, claimed that the man threatened Lauren's partner with a crowbar minutes before running over his own daughter with his car while backing up.

"After knocking her to the ground, he threw his car over her at a high rate of speed. He stopped, then drove the car forward again over her body," Jackson maintained, British television channel Sky News reported.

Neighbors alerted police to a woman being hit by a black Mercedes C200 at around 7:30 p.m.

After the hit-and-run, Malt placed his daughter in the passenger seat of the car and drove to his ex-wife's work. Together they took her to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn, where she was pronounced dead.

Malt was arrested at the medical center on suspicion of DUI in addition to the alleged murder.

An autopsy indicated that Lauren died from significant traumatic injuries to her chest and abdomen. "Further examination of her body revealed bruising, lacerations and crush injuries to her head, torso, arms and legs," police detailed.
