Tom Cruise caused a stir on social media after being captured on camera last weekend on the coast of Mallorca, Spain. The photographs published by the Daily Mail news portal caused “uproar” by showing the actor's physical condition at 61 years old.
During his stay on Formentor Beach in Pollensa, the protagonist of the Mission Impossible saga was seen very relaxed wearing a revealing swimsuit. In addition to those images, there were other photos of the Top Gun star emerging from the waters of the Mediterranean depicting him walking in socks and sneakers.
But what caught the most attention was that the Daily Mail photographs showed Cruise in a swimsuit with a figure far from the toned body that the action film star showed almost 40 years ago in his films.
While some users noticed a contrast in the actor's torso compared to his burly appearance decades ago, other comments defend the normal passing of the years. They also highlighted Cruise's vitality for the way he takes on extremely complex action scenes and physically demanding stunts in many of his films.

Months ago, Cruise revealed that part of his training to prepare for one of the riskiest scenes in Mission Impossible 7: Deadly Sentence Part 1 consisted of practicing 500 parachute jumps and 13,000 motocross jumps.
Despite his physical change, understandable for a man over 60 years old, the actor continues in top shape. In this regard, Cruise recently commented on his strict eating plan, based on up to 15 small meals a day.
The Hollywood star was not alone in Mallorca this weekend. The camera also captured director Alejandro González Iñárritu, with whom the interpreter will be collaborating on an upcoming film.
According to a report from Deadline in February, the actor was negotiating his participation in the film that the Mexican filmmaker is preparing after his latest production: Birdman and Revenant: the revenant. The project would mark the Mexican director's return to English-language cinema after nine years.
Cruise and Iñárritu boarded a yacht together, and there is already media speculation that the two met to talk about the feature film in question, which still remains a mystery to the public.
Cruise's trip to the Spanish island is part of his vacation in the midst of filming the eighth installment of Mission: Impossible, scheduled for release in May 2025.
