Two people were killed and five others were injured in a shooting near downwton Los Angeles on Sunday.

At around 4 p.m. on Sunday, shots were heard at the intersection of 122nd Street and Blakely Avenue in the residential neighborhood of Willowbrook, about 10 miles south of downtown Los Angeles, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.

The victims include a 17-year-old boy and a man, both of who died at the scene. The boy was shot in the upper body, authorities reported. Their identities have not yet been released.

Four other male victims were shot and taken to the hospital, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said. One is in critical condition, and the other three have minor injuries.

Police later found out that a female victim was also shot during the incident but drove herself to the hospital.

A Nest camera on a house in a neighborhood captured two SUVs opening fire from within the cars, reported the Los Angeles Times.

Laquincy Zimmerman, the mother of one of the wounded victims, said she found “over 100 shells on the ground. Two-and-a-half inch bullets, like from an AK-47” when she arrived at the scene.

“The 17-year-old was lying dead right there in the street,” Zimmerman said. “My house was torn up. Shattered glass, everything.”

The motive of the shooting remains unclear. No arrests have been made in connection to the shooter or shooters.
