Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass turned down a $600 gift basket sent to her by Kim Kardashian, new documents have revealed.

The gift basket sent on April 30 included some of Kim’s shapewear brand Skims, liquor, hot sauce, hats, and popular beauty items, according to information Reuters editor Ben Welsh obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request. The products were most likely coming from the different business ventures of the Kardashian-Jenner clan.

Bass decided to turn down the gift basket for ethical reasons, citing the city’s ethics commission, which has strict rules regarding gifts for elected officials. Any gift worth more than $50 is legally required to be disclosed.

According to the policy from the Los Angeles Ethics Commission, “gifts from reportable sources are limited to $590 per source per year” when they coming from non-gubernatorial sources. However, officials can accept items worth up to $100 if they are sent from a restricted source—someone with financial ties to the city, reported The New York Post.

With Kim’s gift basket $10 over the limit, the gift basket was ultimately returned to the member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan.

Since assuming her post as mayor of Los Angeles in December, Bass has received more than 130 gifts, Welsh said in a tweet.

Kardashian’s gift was not the first one the mayor has had to decline. Other gifts include a $97 necklace, a $100 tablet, a $260 jersey from the Los Angeles FC soccer club, a $156 skincare package, clothes worth $400 from Howard Sunkin, and $200 of ski shirts and jackets, Welsh added.

The mayor has, however, accepted some gifts, which include several flower arrangements, wine, snacks, and books.
