Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of rock and roll icon Elvis Presley died Thursday after she was hospitalized, her mother and actress, Priscilla Presley, said in a statement.

“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” Priscilla said in a statement Thursday night. “She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known.”

Priscilla’s Thursday announcement came only hours after Lisa Maria, who was only 54 and the only child of Elvis was transported to the hospital earlier that day.

Los Angeles County paramedics were sent to Lisa Marie’s home in Calabasas at 10:37 a.m. after a report that a female was in full cardiac arrest, according to the county’s fire department.

Los Angeles County property records confirmed Lisa Marie was a resident at that address.

Paramedics arrived on the scene only six minutes after they were dispatched, according to reports.
