JLo and Affleck ‘split up’ 3 weeks after their wedding
Less than a month into their marriage, the couple of the moment decided to take a break

Less than a month after getting married, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez decided to take a break. After sealing their union last July 17 in Las Vegas, they spent a honeymoon in Paris accompanied by their children, but have recently decided to separate by mutual agreement.
Three weeks after saying "I do," they agreed to separate for "the good of their relationship" and because "they understand that they must face their different professional commitments even though these cause thousands of miles between them."
Affleck returned to Los Angeles while the singer stayed in Europe with the kids. The actor is concentrating on a project as a screenwriter, where he will act as producer and director, with Matt Damon.
"The one thing that makes their relationship so unique is that they know more than anyone else the demands that come with doing what they do," commented a source close to the couple, according to Hollywood Life.
"Being apart so soon after their wedding is not ideal, but they know they have their whole lives ahead of them," the source continued.
"In fact, they believe that spending time apart makes them stronger and it's perfect because when they are apart they are making an extreme amount of money. It's a win-win situation for both of them," the source added.
The celebrities have reportedly decided to focus on their professional commitments: "They fully understand that there will be times when they can't always be together. It's something they have both acknowledged and discussed extensively throughout their relationship, so it's nothing new," the media outlet reported.
The aforementioned source said that JLo and Affleck "are always talking, texting, FaceTime-ing and even recording when they're apart working. And the time apart makes getting back together that much better. JLo loves the fact that she knows her husband will be there for her no matter what."
The couple is reportedly going through their first post-wedding estrangement, and contrary to some media reports, they are closer than ever.
