Jennifer Love Hewitt may still not know what happened last summer, but one thing she does know is that she doesn’t like people obsessing over her younger days when she labeled a Hollywood hottie.

The 44-year-old Brunette looker was known throughout the ’90s and 2000s, for starring in major hit television shows such as “Party of Five,” and films such as “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” “Can’t Hardly Wait” and “Heartbreakers,” which co-starred Gene Hackman and Sigourney Weaver.

She began her career as a child actress on commercials and appeared in on the Disney Channel on “Kids Incorporated.”

Hewitt said on a recent podcast she’s tired of people comparing her current looks to how she looked in her early 20s.

“She was a looker,” the Waco, Texas native said about her own body while interviewing on a recent podcast episode of the “Inside of You With Michael Rosenbaum.”

“But also that 23 and 25-year-old wasn’t in her body,” she explained. “I felt watched. I felt like I had to be everything for everybody all the time. I was called sexy before I ever knew what being sexy was. I was 17 years old on the cover of Maxim, and I had no idea why.”

Six years later in 2002, things took a turn when she was told on the set of “Heartbreakers” to “be sexier.”

“I know that I’m supposed to be this thing for people, but I don’t know what that means,” she says she told a producer on the set.

She clarified that it made her feel out of sorts when people told her the kind of person she needed to be.

“It’s weird for me when people are like, ‘That’s the girl that we wanted you to be.’ That girl was so insecure and so confused and trying her best. But this girl, who may not look [that] way … I like who I am. I feel good. I’m fine.”

Hewitt is now happily married to Brian Hallisay, and the couple share three children together: Aidan, 2, Atticus, 8, and Autumn who is 10.

“I’m a mother of a girl, and it’s dangerous what we put on people,” the “1990s teen queen noted. “It’s dangerous to say to women, ‘You can’t look like you’re not 22 to me anymore … because I’m 44, and this is what I look like.”

Hewitt is more than an actress. In 1992, she released her debut music album at only 12 years old. She became a sensation in Japan and went on to release other albums that made it big in the U.S.

Her 1999 single, “How Do I Deal?” reached number 37 on Billboard’s top 200 chart.
