Recently unsealed court documents from the Virginia based defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard reveal text messages that indicate the 'Aquaman' actress once worked as an exotic dancer, according to multiple reports.

The shocking new report stems from messages buried deep within a 965-page March 28 court document, which suggest Depp’s legal team struggled to find ways to reveal Heard’s “brief stint as an exotic danger years before she met Mr. Depp,” according to the New York Post.

Heard’s legal team opposed use of the statement during trial, arguing that Depp’s team was “attempting to frivolously and maliciously suggest that imply that Ms. Heard was at once time an escort,” the Post reported.

Depp was reportedly interested in revealing other information about Heard’s sister, Whitney’s reality television show, and also the two sisters’ past romantic relationships.

The Pirates of the Caribbean actor also wanted to tell the jury about “Amber’s brief stint as an exotic dancer years before she met Mr. Depp,” her attorneys wrote, as they also opposed “Mr. Depp attempting to frivolously and maliciously suggest or imply that Ms. Heard was at one time an escort.”

None of that information ever surfaced during the six-week trial in Fairfax, Virginia. The Fairfax County jury ultimately awarded Depp $10.35 million over claims he was defamed by a Washington Post op-ed piece Heard wrote in which she claimed she was the victim of domestic abuse and sexual violence.

The actress was also awarded $2 million for claims that Depp’s lawyer made that the jury found false and damaging to her character, summarizing a total owed by Heard for $8.35 million.
