The private plane of Brazilian soccer and Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar Jr. had to make an emergency landing in northern Brazil after returning from the United States, where the player was on vacation with part of his family.

Several reports claim that the plane, owned by the world's most expensive soccer player, landed after experiencing technical problems.

Neymar, 30, uploaded a story to his Instagram where he reassured his followers that "it had all been a scare" but that he and the rest of those flying on his jet were fine.

He had previously shared a snapshot with his sister Rafaella posing on the tarmac before taking flight and then uploaded a photo from inside the plane overlooking Miami as they returned from their vacation in the United States.

Neymar, Rafaella, and the player's girlfriend, Bruna Biancardi, were spotted earlier this week enjoying the sun on the beach in Miami. The former F.C. Barcelona player also played poker in Las Vegas and partied with Golden State Warriors players in "Sin City" after their NBA Finals victory.

Neymar's Embraer Legacy 450 jet is valued at over US$13 million. It is unknown if it was damaged in this incident.
