Neymar Jr. acknowledged that he is interested in playing in Major League Soccer (MLS) in the United States at some point in his career, he said during a live interview along with legendary Brazilian soccer player, Ronaldo Nazario, for the podcast "Fenómenos" with Twitch streamer Gaules.

Neymar Jr. is an idol at his club, PSG, and the top star of the Brazilian national team, despite injuries that have not allowed him to perform at his best in the last years of his career.

When it comes to playing for his own country, Ney confessed that he has some doubts. "I don't know if I'll ever play in Brazil again. Right now I would like to play in the United States, play there at least one season. For Brazil I don't know, sometimes I want to and sometimes I don't,” he said.

When questioned about his reasons for wanting to make it to MLS at some point, he responded, "First of all, their season is shorter, so I would have three months off (laughs). I would play many more years.”

The "Canarinha" star is currently in his ninth season in European soccer, after playing in LaLiga in Spain with F.C. Barcelona and currently for France's Ligue 1 with PSG, a club with which he has a contract until mid-2025. However, he is not ruling out playing in the United States in the future.

During the live conversation with Gaules, the subject of the World Cup came up and Neymar was candid: "Nowadays when Brazil plays I feel that it doesn't have the importance it had when I was a kid. When you win it is also wonderful. The love that Brazilians give you is incredible. When they have to support, there are no better twisters than Brazilians. When we are together, something good will happen.”

During the interview, Ronaldo also called for unity between the national team and the national team for the next World Cup. "The national team is our heritage and I think there has to be this reunification. One of the strengths of the Brazilian national team is its fans."
