At least nine people were wounded during a mass shooting in downtown Cincinnati on early Sunday morning. Police are looking for at least two suspects.
Police responded to reports of a disorderly crowd on Main street downtown at around 1:45 a.m., said Lt. Colonel Mike John of the Cincinnati Police Department at a press conference.
Two groups started fighting outside a bar in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood as police were clearing the group. At least two individuals pulled out guns and opened fire into the crowd.
One police officer responded by shooting one of the gunmen, who fled the scene. It is unclear whether the gunman was hit. A second suspect then fired more shots.

"Seen people running and it was just [a] melee," a witness told FOX 19. "Chaos. I actually saw the cops running down the street trying to find the guy who they were looking for."
Nine individuals, eight men and one woman aged 23 to 47, were injured by the gunfire. They sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
"What took place last night was completely and totally unacceptable," said Cincinnati Mayor Aftan Pureval. "The gun violence we are seeing in our community cannot and will not persist."
Police are still looking for the suspects and are asking anyone with more information to contact them.
"If you see something, say something," said Cincinnati council member Scotty Johnson. "It is not snitching, it's a matter of everybody in Cincinnati being safe and enjoying our great city."
"We want everybody to come downtown and have a good time, but personal accountability has to trump these ridiculous outlandish beefs that are going on in our city," Johnson added.
