Rudy Giuliani testified to Jan. 6 committee for nine hours: report

Former Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani testified for about nine hours on Friday to the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, according to multiple outlets.

The committee held a virtual meeting with the former New York City mayor for about nine hours on Friday, sources told CNN and NBC.

The original deposition was postponed after the committee rejected Giuliani's request for the interview to be recorded, his attorney Robert Costello said. 

Giuliani's attorney said in March that his client would not waive his attorney-client privilege or executive privilege when testifying to the committee.

The details of Giuliani's appearance Friday remain unclear. 

The committee subpoenaed Giuliani and four other members of the Trump legal team in January.

Giuliani urged "President Trump to direct the seizure of voting machines around the country" in December 2020, the panel claimed in its subpeona.
