President Trump's approval rating increased to 44%, according to a new poll.

The survey results from Reuters/Ipsos are a small uptick from the 42% the poll found last month as Trump's tariff wars have resulted in trade deals.

The president has struck deals with China and the United Kingdom, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose more than 1,000 points on Monday, erasing the losses following Trump's “Liberation Day” tariffs.

The poll also shows a 3% increase from April in respondents' approval of Trump's economic stewardship, which is now at 39%. There was also a drop of 7% of participants being concerned about a recession, with the current statistic at 69%.

The nationwide survey of 1,163 people was conducted on Monday and Tuesday and has a margin of error of three percentage points.
