Police discovered what appeared to be “a human fetus or an infant” inside the apartment’s freezer

Police found the remains of four infants inside a Boston apartment earlier this month, authorities reported.
When police officers responded to a call on November 17 to investigate a residence at 838 East Broadway in South Boston at around 2:15 p.m. ET, they discovered what appeared to be “a human fetus or an infant” inside the apartment’s freezer.
The next day, police found more remains thought to belong to infants inside the apartment.

"Homicide detectives located what appears to be additional human remains, which were removed by personnel from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for further investigation," police said.
On Monday, Boston police said the remains found belonged to two boys and two girls. Their cause of death will be determined after an autopsy is conducted by the Chief Medical Examiner.
The Boston Police Homicide Detectives and Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office are investigating the deaths.
No arrests have been made in connection to the bodies found.
The identity of the infants and the name of any potential suspects have not yet been shared by police.
