Former President Obama will on Tuesday return to the White House for the first time since leaving office, joining President Biden in an event to promote his signature health care policy known as ObamaCare.
Vice President Kamala Harris also will participate in the event, to deliver remarks about the expansion of health care benefits under the 2010 law and Biden’s efforts to reduce health care costs and expand access to care, officials told NBC News.
The law is formally known as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and was passed by Congress, then signed into law by Obama in March 2010 to make government-backed health care insurance more accessible to people in the U.S.
