President Joe Biden’s disapproval rating reached a new high in December according to data from a new CNBC-Change Research poll.

According to the survey, 56 percent of voters disapproved of Biden’s overall performance, compared to 54 percent in September and 49 percent in April.

Overall, his approval rating now stands at 44 percent, The Hill reported

Individuals polled indicated that they were particularly weary of how Biden has handled the economy and the COVID-19 pandemic – with 60 percent of respondents reporting they disapproved of Biden’s handling of the economy and 55 percent reporting they disapproved of his pandemic response.

In terms of the economy, 72 percent of those polled said they disapprove of Biden's management of the price of everyday goods, while 66 percent said they did not approve of the president's efforts to help their wallets.

The data presented by CNBC-Change Research poll appears to mirror a recent PBS NewsHour/NPR/Marist poll, which showed that 56 percent of White voters disapprove of Biden’s performance – while 65 percent of Latino voters disapprove.

A similar Dec. 8 Wall Street Journal poll found that although Latino voters — who account for around 1 in 8 eligible voters — gave Democrats 60 percent of their vote in the midterm elections, they now appear to be evenly split between the Democratic and Republican parties.

According to the data, if a congressional election were held today, 37 percent of Latino voters said they would vote for a Republican and 37 percent said they would vote for a Democrat.

Similarly, when asked how they would vote in a hypothetical rematch of the 2020 election, 44 percent of those polled said they would support President Biden while 43 percent voiced their support for former President Donald Trump.
