A Democratic strategist crassly joked on Wednesday that Rep. Lauren Boebert would join adult site OnlyFans if she loses her close reelection bid, drawing condemnation across social media.
Kurt Bardella, who works as a strategist for the Democratic National Committee and the party’s congressional campaign arm, made the lewd comment during an appearance on MSNBC’s “The ReidOut” after host Joy Reid asked what would come of Boebert if she lost to Democratic challenger Adam Frisch.
"What’s the meaning if Lauren Boebert, the second most popular QAnon congressperson in MAGA, what if she loses?" Reid said.
“And what job will she have?” she added, noting that her restaurant Shooters Grill closed earlier this year.
“I guess it might be a gain for OnlyFans,” Bardella responded. Reid laughed aloud while the other guest, former Democrat Senator and MSNBC contributor Claire McCaskill opened her mouth in shock.

He continued by calling the Colorado congresswoman “one of the poster childs of the MAGA movement” and a “absolute disgrace to the office she holds,” saying her loss would be a “great feather in the cap” of Democrats in the midterm elections.
A clip of the exchange went viral, drawing condemnation from across social media.
"So misogyny is ok, as long as it’s exclusively directed towards conservative women?" president of the Free Thinker Project CJ Pearson asked.
“Oh fun, misogyny!” tweeted conservative radio host Dana Loesch.
Some referred to Bardella’s former employer, the anti-Trump Lincoln Project, which saw a wave of resignations in 2021 after it was revealed that co-founder John Weaver had solicited young men, some underaged, for sex with offers of professional advancement.
"This is the guy who hacked into and leaked the Lincoln Project’s only female advisor’s twitter DM’s to get revenge," Republican communicator Matt Whitlock wrote. "What an absolute garbage person – but at least we know what he’s browsing for."
Boebert pulled ahead in the polls with 98% reporting on Thursday evening.
