Although Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently purchased Twitter for $44 billion, recent social media posts have suggested that the tech billionaire could be considering adding more iconic American companies to list of acquisitions.

While Musk made his comments in a comedic tone, many pundits have wondered, “what’s next?

On Wednesday night, Musk joked that he would buy the iconic soft drink brand, Coca-Cola – even alluding to the fact that he’d consider adding cocaine back to the formula.

"Next I’m buying Coca-Cola to put the cocaine back in," Musk quipped in a late-night tweet Wednesday.

A user responded to his tweet by sharing a photo of the original Coca-Cola from 1894 – back when the recipe included 3.5 grams of cocaine. “Brick it back,” the user quipped, to which Musk replied that the original formula “Kicks Red Bull’s ass!”

Dogecoin co-creator Billy Markus also took to Twitter to ask, “Can you buy fox I want another season of ‘firefly’” – a cult classic which was cancelled by the network after just one season.

"Some sci-fi that actually features sci-fi would be great," Musk replied

After re-posting what appears to be a fake tweet, Musk also suggested he could go after McDonalds, the iconic American fast food company valued at $154.92 billion.

"Now I'm going to buy McDonald's and fix all of the ice cream machines…"

"Listen, I can't do miracles ok," Musk quipped in response to the suggestion.

Earlier this week, Twitter’s board accepted Musk’s $44 billion offer to buy the social media giant. Musk has long criticized Twitter for failing to embrace freedom of speech and has said he will work to make “the digital town square” a bastion of free speech.

"Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated," Musk said. "I also want to make Twitter better than ever by enhancing the product with new features, making the algorithms open source to increase trust, defeating the spam bots, and authenticating all humans."

"Twitter has tremendous potential – I look forward to working with the company and the community of users to unlock it," he added.
