Two shootings that took place in separate locations in Memphis on Sunday morning left one person dead and 11 others injured. Authorities believe the two shootings are connected, according to the Memphis Police Department

Police responded to reports of a shooting at Live Lounge at around 12:43 a.m., where they found two individuals who were shot. Both were in critical condition and transported to Regional One Hospital.

Five other victims in noncritical condition were transported to the hospital by private vehicle, authorities said.

While at the scene, police received reports about an additional shooting a few streets away. When they arrived, police found three other victims in critical condition and a man who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The five victims who were in non-critical condition have all been released from the hospital,” the police department said in a statement posted on Twitter. “The five additional victims remain in critical condition.”

Police said that it is unclear what led to the shootings. Investigators are working to gather additional details.

The shooter remains at large. However, authorities have identified three persons of interest tied to the shootings. Their names have not yet been made public.

“There is no solid description of the suspect(s). It is unknown if the suspect(s) are known to the victims,” the police added.
