Ex-Proud Boy leader Enrique Tarrio will reportedly remain in jail until his trial on charges that he conspired with other members of the far-right group to attack the U.S. Capitol and stop Congress from certifying the 2020 presidential election.
The order to keep Tarrio behind bars was made Friday by U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly, according to the Associated Press. Kelly in the order also states Tarrio was too much of a public danger to wait for his trial in home detention and bans him from social media.
Tarrio, a South Florida resident, has been jailed since his arrest on March 8, a day after his indictment on charges including conspiracy, the wire service also reports.
