President Joe Biden was met with mixed responses from his fellow Democrats for his State of the Union address Thursday evening as Democrats are planning two rebuttals to his speech.

Rep. Colin Allred, D-Texas, praised the Biden administration's American Rescue Plan during the address.

"[Biden] knows what families like mine growing up go through. I grew up with a single mother who was a Dallas public school teacher, and so I know how hard this pandemic was on so many families. That’s why I worked to pass [Biden's] American Rescue Plan to deliver real relief," Allred tweeted.

Allred will deliver the Congressional Black Caucus' official response to the State of the Union.

Rep. Debbie Dingell, D-Mich., also praised Biden for having a "plan to address rising costs," despite the fact that inflation is at a 40 year high.

"Squad" member Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich, will deliver the progressive response to Biden's State of the Union address.

Tlaib's expected response to Biden has not been embraced by many in the Democratic Party.

“It’s like keying your own car and slashing your own tires,” Rep. Josh Gottheimer, D-N.J., told Axios.
