At least two people were killed and 28 others were wounded early on Sunday morning in a mass shooting at a block party in Baltimore, authorities said.

Police officers responded to multiple calls reporting a shooting during a block party at around 12:35 a.m. in the 800 block of Gretna Fourt in the city’s Brooklyn neighborhood.

"When officers arrived, they found multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds. We located one female adult deceased on the scene, 9 additional victims were transported from the location to area hospitals," said Baltimore City Police Commissioner Richard Worley at a news conference on Sunday.

The individual who was killed at the scene was identified as 18-year-old Aaliyah Gonzales, Worley added.

In addition to the nine who were transported to local hospitals from the scene, 20 others took themselves to several hospitals throughout the city seeking treatment for their wounds. The ages of those wounded from 13 and 32 years old.

Later on in the night, 20-year-old Kylis Fagbemi was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police are investigating the incident and are searching for the suspects. Authorities have confirmed that there were at least two shooters and are trying to determine whether any other suspects were involved. Metro Crime Stoppers offered a $8,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest.

Authorities have not yet determined a motive for the shooting. It is unclear if it was a targeted incident.

"We will not stop until we find those cowards who decided to just shoot dozens of people, causing two people to lose their lives. And we're going to be here until we find them, until we hold them accountable until they are held accountable for the actions they took because we cannot rest until they do so. Again our thoughts and prayers are with the entire community and city," Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott said at a press briefing.
