The United Nation's World Food Program says people in the Ukrainian port city of Mariupol are being “starved to death” by the Russian invasion and predicts the overall humanitarian crisis in Ukraine will only get worse as Russia continues its attacks.
"I don’t see any of that easing up," WFP Executive Director David Beasley told the Associated Press. "I just don’t see it happening right now."

Beasley also pointed out that Ukraine is a grain exporter on which other countries depend and warns that the invasion could result in mass migration that could have a worldwide destabilizing effect.
He also told the wire service the war that began Feb. 24 is “devastating the people in Ukraine and said the WFP and other aid organizations are having difficulties reaching those hit hardest by the invasion.
