Ukraine leader hails visit as strong sign big bipartisan support from America

A Republican delegation led by Senate Minority Leader MitchMcConnell has met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kiev to signal bipartisan support for America’s ally during its war with Russia.

The meeting was confirmed by a video posted on Zelenskyy’s Instagram account on Saturday.

Zelenskyy said the delegation’s arrival "is a strong signal of bipartisan support for Ukraine from the United States Congress and the American people."

“Thank you for your leadership in helping us in our struggle not only for our country, but also for democratic values and freedoms. We really appreciate it,” he added.

Others seen at the meeting included Sens. Susan Collins of Maine, John Barrasso of Wyoming and John Cornyn of Texas.
