"In the photo, Vera is on her back on the first day of the war. I signed it with my hands shaking a lot," the mother said in despair on Instagram with a photo that was spread by several users who demanded to maintain sanctions on Russia and the end of the war in Ukraine.
"I signed Vera in case something happened to us, and someone picked her up as a survivor," she added in dismay.
"Ukrainian mothers are writing their family contacts on their children's bodies in case they die and the child survives," Ukrainian journalist Anastasiia Lapatina posted on Twitter on Monday.

Several Ukrainian cities have been devastated by Russian troops.
In recent days, images of civilian casualties in the Ukrainian city of Bucha have been disseminated and have caused outrage in several countries.
The foreign minister called the attacks in Bucha a "deliberate massacre," the head of the European Council spoke of "atrocities," while Human Rights Watch claimed they were "war crimes," France 24 reported.
The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, said Monday that she was "horrified" by the images of corpses discovered in Bucha after the withdrawal of Russian troops.
"I am horrified by the images of civilians lying dead in the streets and in makeshift graves in the city of Bucha in Ukraine," Bachelet said in a statement quoted by Infobae.
Bachelet called for an investigation to determine the causes of the deaths, in addition to helping identify the bodies to be able to inform the families of the deceased.
Images of mass graves circulated on social media on Sunday as Ukraine's top prosecutor, Iryna Venedyktova, claimed that officials found at least 410 bodies in towns surrounding Kyiv following the withdrawal of Russian forces from the area.
Russia denied allegations that its troops have killed civilians in Bucha, where at least 300 residents were killed.
