Fentanyl Crisis

Fentanyl is a powerful synthetic opioid that is similar to morphine but is 50 to 100 times more potent. Deaths involving synthetic opioids other than methadone (primarily fentanyl) continued to rise with 56,516 overdose deaths reported in 2020.
