Hundreds of undocumented migrants were found on Thursday walking alongside a highway in Eagle Pass, Texas, close to the Mexican border, Texas law enforcement reported.

A video recorded by Texas officials and obtained by Fox News shows the undocumented migrants wandering around the area. Some are seen resting under nearby trees.

The video also shows one law enforcement vehicle pulled over and officials speaking to the migrants.

Between August and May, Border Patrol Officers have intercepted and paroled more than 207,000 undocumented migrants in an attempt to avoid overcrowding detention centers, according to Fox News. However, in the seven months before August of last year, only eleven migrants were given parole by Border Patrol.

In May alone, 51,132 migrants were paroled, a 28% increase from the previous month, according to court documents.

It is unknown if the migrants in the video had been paroled. It is unclear if any were taken into custody.

The recent encounter comes as an unprecedented number of undocumented migrants are attempting to cross the border into the U.S. In May alone, nearly 240,000 migrants were intercepted by officials, breaking April’s record.
