Russia is warning the world that tests of its new Satan-2 hypersonic nuclear missile are imminent and is about to go into “serial production.”

Vladimir Putin’s space chief, Dmitry Rogozin, was seen inspecting the weapon before it was taken to the forest by rail, according to The Daily Mail.

'The world's most powerful global-range nuclear-tipped missile is being prepared for new tests and serial production,' said Rogozin.

The weapon is a 208-ton missile about the size of a 14-story building. It can allegedly travel at 15,880 mph to anywhere on earth and is far ahead of any Western technology, Rogozin said.

“As for technical performance, what they have in their arsenal certainly lags behind what we have,” said the space chief.

“They lag especially far behind in terms of the designed capabilities of our Sarmat heavy intercontinental ballistic missile, which have been confirmed in the first test launch.”

Satan-2 has only been tested once, on April 20, from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in northern Russia. Despite not being widely tested yet, the Kremlin is determined to include the weapon into its nuclear arsenal by the end of the year.

The test launch of the missile without a nuclear head created a 26ft deep crater. “With a nuclear charge, such a crater at an enemy site will be…well, very large and very deep - and radioactive,” said Rogozin at the time.

“And not just one, but exactly as many as the most powerful nuclear missile in the world will deliver to the territory of a fierce enemy.”

Last week, Rogozin announced the deadly weapon, also known as Sarmat, claiming that it was already in mass production.

He also recently visited the Krasmash defense plant in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia, to inspect the production of the Sarmat. Rogozin named the Satan-2 production facility the “Doomsday Plant” and claimed that it was the “safest place in the world.”

Putin claims that the missile can help ensure Russia’s security and warn “'those fierce people who are trying to threaten it” about its military powers.

"The missile can break through all modern anti-missile defenses,” Putin said of the weapon. “There is nothing like this anywhere in the world and won't be for a long time."
