Simple pumpkin pie recipe to welcome the fall season

Fall season is here. What better way to welcome the season than by trying out a recipe of one of its staple foods? 

This simple recipe for the traditional pumpkin pie is one you won't get tired of making over and over again throughout the season.

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 425°F.

In a large bowl, beat the eggs. Add the brown sugar, white sugar, cinnamon, salt, ginger, nutmeg, ground cloves, cardamon, and lemon zest. Mix well.

Add the pumpkin puree and cream. Beat the mixture.

Fill in the pie shell with the mixture. Put the pie into the oven and bake for 15 minutes.

Reduce oven temperature to 350°F and continue baking for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the pie comes out clean.
