Puerto Rico Shock: Four men die in separate San Juan double shootings

Four men died in the early hours of Saturday in two double murders perpetrated with firearms in San Juan in front of a supermarket and in a nightlife area.

The first double murder occurred in front of the 24 Marketplace establishment, a supermarket and cafeteria open 24 hours and located on the well-known Chardón avenue, in the Hato Rey neighborhood.

A call to the 911 Emergency System alerted the Police to two injured people, who were transported to the Centro Médico de Río Piedras hospital, where they died.

The deceased have not been identified and the motive for the events is being investigated. The other case took place on Manuel Corchado street, intersection with Loíza street, where there are several nightlife venues that are very crowded on weekends.

After receiving a 911 call, officers rushed to the scene and located the body of a man with multiple gunshot wounds on the pavement.

Related to these events, another man was transported to the Río Piedras Medical Center hospital and died while receiving medical assistance.

Both cases are being investigated by agents attached to the Homicide Division of the San Juan Criminal Investigation Corps of the Puerto Rico Police Bureau.
