Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tried to start a verbal 'catfight' with “Libs of TikTok” creator Chaya Raichik after calling her “super transphobic” in a heated exchange of words recorded on video last week at Capitol Hill.

Check out the video posted on Twitter here.

Raichik posted a video of the confrontation, which was filmed by the conservative Heritage Foundation on Thursday.

Raichik confronted Ocasio-Cortez after the two bumped into each other in the congressional building.

“You’re actually super transphobic and I never want to share a space with you,” the Bronx based congresswoman furiously told Raichik in one clip before storming away down a congressional corridor.

Ocasio-Cortez then sarcastically aimed her comments to one of the people taking video, saying, “thank you,” she gestured to a nearby cell phone camera filming.

Since the brief exchange, Raichik and Mike Howell of Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project have decided to file an ethics complaint accusing Ocasio-Cortez of “defaming” Raichik during a Feb. 8 hearing of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee.

The controversy concerns a line of questioning from Ocasio-Cortez to a Twitter executive in which she implied Raichik lied by suggesting that the Boston’s Children’s Hospital was “now offering ‘gender affirming hysterectomies’ for young girls.”

“Are you aware… that from Aug. 11 to Aug. 16 that account posted false information about Boston Children’s Hospital claiming that they were providing hysterectomies to children?” Ocasio-Cortez asked the  executive about Raichik’s tweet. “And are you aware that this lie was then circulated by other prominent far-right influencers?”

The ethics complaint is nine pages, and was formally submitted by the Washington, D.C. based Heritage Foundation.

It alleges that Ocasio-Cortez violated ethics rules by “knowingly and intentionally” defaming Raichik and “falsely accusing her of lying and disseminating disinformation…”

Facebook banned “Libs of TikTok” last year after staffers at Boston Children’s Hospital claimed they received threats following a post similar to what Ocasio Cortez described during the congressional hearing.

Raichik is a Brooklyn real estate agent turned social media influencer who has picked up more than a million Twitter followers from retweeting TikTok videos showing drag shows with children in the audience.
