Former Jet player Zac Stacy was arrested in Florida on Thursday evening after brutally attacking his ex-girlfriend last weekend.

The former NFL running back was charged with aggravated battery and criminal mischief for assaulting his ex-girlfriend in front of their 5-month-old son, according to the Orange Country Sherriff’s Office.

The assault on Kristin Evans was caught on camera by her home surveillance system. Allegedly, Stacy repeatedly beat up Evans when he visited her home.

He “struck [her] on the right side of her head, and picked her up and threw her against the television, causing it to crack and fall over,” according to police.

After the attack, Evans called the police, but Stacy had already fled the scene.

Evans claims that Stacy had been abusing her since the beginning of her pregnancy the previous year. She had filed a restraining order against Stacy. Evans had also filed a police report in October accusing him of slapping her.

Police said Stacy fled California after the attack but was arrested shortly after flying to Florida. Stacy went to Florida "with the intention of turning himself in," said the police. He is currently being held in Orange County Jail.

Stacy played in the NFL from 2013 to 2015. He was going to be the ambassador at the TransPerfect Music City Bowl. However, the event cut ties with the former NFL player after the video surfaced.
