Actress fired for profane rant over street closures during NYPD detective’s funeral

A New York City actress was fired from her film and theater company after posting a profanity-laced rant, which was quickly deleted, about street closures for the funeral of murdered NYPD Detective Jason Rivera.

"We do not need to shut down most of Lower Manhattan because one cop died for probably doing his job incorrectly," Jacqueline Guzman said in a since-deleted TikTok video under the handle @vinylboobs. "They kill people who are under 22 every single day for no good reason, and we don't shut down the city for them."

She filmed herself Friday as she walked down a street that had been barricaded off for during Rivera's funeral, as first reported by The New York Post. 

Rivera, 22, and his partner, Officer Wilbert Mora, 27, were murdered in an ambush in Harlem.

Guzman panned the camera across the empty street in the video, and said, "Like this is f***ing ridiculous. This is f***ing ridiculous. What if somebody is having a heart attack in this area? Nobody can get to them because it’s all blocked off for one f***ing cop."

Face to Face Films published a statement the following day stating that Guzman was let go due to her "insensitive video." 

"Face to Face Films does not support nor can condone these comments made about fallen Officer Rivera," the company wrote.

Guzman's biography, which has since been removed from Face to Face Films' website, says she is a first-generation Cuban American actress originally from Florida.

Her Twitter, also under the handle @vinylboobs, has been deactivated, as well as her other social media accounts. She did not return a request for comment to the Post.

"New Yorkers turned out by the thousands yesterday to help us honor our fallen brother," PBA President Patrick Lynch told the Post. "One person spreading hate cannot erase that. This kind of garbage has polluted the conversation for far too long. We need the New Yorkers who are standing with us to speak up and push back."
