A pizza delivery man became the hero of the day after he was caught on video tripping a suspect being chased by police in a residential neighborhood in Pennsylvania.

Tyler Morrell was making a delivery on behalf of Cocco’s Pizza Aston at around 3 p.m. at a home in Brookhaven. As he is about to drop off the delivery, Morrell sees several police cars pursuing a vehicle that is driving on a lawn on the other side of the street.

The delivery man walks closer to get a better look when the suspect jumps out of the vehicle and runs across the street in Morrell’s direction, according to the video.

When the suspect gets close enough, Morrell lunges back, then sticks his foot out in front of the suspect and causes him to trip—without letting go of the pizza. The suspect falls to the ground and is quickly apprehended by the police.

The homeowner shared footage of the heroic moment, which was captured from a Ring doorbell camera.

"Thank you sir for the assist!!!" the Brookhaven Police Department said in a post with the video of the encounter. "If you’re interested in a job we are always looking for good people."

Morrell, 29, said he acted on instinct and wasn’t thinking too much of his actions, except for trying to “prevent the cheese from sliding” on the pizza.

"Honestly, I didn’t really think about doing anything but stepping in. I was raised to step in if you see something that’s not right. So, I just wanted to do my part," Morrell told Fox29

Police were after the suspect for stealing the black Kia from Upper Darby. Ultimately, two individuals were apprehended, a 19-year-old passenger and the 17-year-old driver, according to Brookhaven Police Chief Michael Vice.
